Juliet Spencer Cohen of Port St. Lucie Florida passed away on April 23, 2023 at 7:30pm after a brief battle with colon cancer that metastasized to her liver and bile duct. She was surrounded by her loved ones, one hour before her passing in Lehigh Acres, Florida.
Juliet was born January 8, 1956 to Arthur Spencer and Carmen Morris in St. Ann, Jamaica. After graduating from high school, she attend Clarendon College where she met the love of her life Kenneth Fong. They eventually got married and had two sons, Bruce and Shawn “Chris”. In 1984 Juliet, her husband and kids migrated to the USA where she pursued a career in the nursing field. Juliet would work live-in jobs, agencies jobs, and started her own business in housekeeping, just to support her family and that she excelled in doing so. In 2003 her son Shawn “Chris” passed away suddenly which sent her into a deep depression. She eventually got over the depression and poured all her love into her other son, Bruce.
Juliet interests include cooking, riding her 3 wheeled bicycle, going to garage sales, taking long walks in the park and feeding the homeless. She devoted most of her time to her son and her grandchildren. Juliet is an excellent listener and caregiver. She always knew what to say and gave great advice to her friends and families.
Juliet was predeceased by her parents, husband and her son Shawn “Chris”. She is survived by her sisters and brothers, her son Bruce and her 3 grandchildren, lots of cousins, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. Juliet loved her cousins Tanya and her Aunt Marjorie(sister). She considered Tanya as the daughter she never had. Tanya, Roy, Marjorie and Victoria took very good care of her during her sickness.
A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 am Saturday, June 10th at Church of God of Prophecy 301 Elva Avenue N., Lehigh Acres, FL 33971.
