Gary and I worked with John for many years and were always at his zest for life. We had many good times together. He was one of a kind.

John gave me the best gift of my life:  Leslie, Johnny, Greg, and Betsy, and Amy, too.  I have recently realized that he never showed the stress of his work----he could work all day, play music till late at night, and never - ever complain.

There is a phrase that I like that goes like this : " There is always an end to a journey,  but it is the journey that matters in the end."  Dad had an incredible journey and I will miss him dearly.

I knew John well at Evansville State Hospital.  He was one of a kind and will be missed.  My sympathy to all of you who remain.

Our dad was a great guy. He loved life and loved his family. His zest for life was contagious to those around him.
