James Cornelius Farley, 61, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away at sunrise on April 14, 2018, at home with family, after suffering from congestive heart failure. The son of Kathleen and Bernard Farley, James was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on January 28, 1957, and was raised in Westwood, New Jersey. James was preceded by his parents and brothers, Michael and Joseph Farley. He was survived by his daughter, Jennifer Moonshower (Rex); son, James Farley (Jason Parrish); former wife and best friend, Debra Francis, and four loving grandsons, Blake, Bryce, Braxton, and Beau. He is also survived by sisters and brothers Saralee Farley (Julie Frankel), Kathleen Buda (Kenneth), Stephen Farley (Tara), Sean Farley, Robert Farley (Amy), and many beloved nieces and nephews, as well as other family and friends. James was a New York Giants and Mets super-fan and walking sports almanac who always had an opinion to share and loved to watch his sports with friends and a cold beer and burger. From his years driving trucks to bartending, James was a people person who loved—and could always make—people smile. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Cape Coral, Florida, where he resided for the past 17 years; previously he was a proud member of the Elks Lodge in Westwood, New Jersey. The memorial service will be a private ceremony at sea where James requested his loved ones scatter his ashes at sunset. In early June, there will be a Celebration of Life in New Jersey for his family and close friends. For information, 239-334-4880.
