Harvey Stahle went home to be with his Lord in peace on Sunday evening, August 19th at Shell Point Hospice here in Ft Myers Florida, where had been a resident for over 20 years. He had recently celebrated his 95th birthday and told us he knew where he was going when his time here on earth was over. Up until the past two years he was active in his exercise classes at Shell Point and could put most of us to shame with his dedication and strength. When we shared pictures of him to our co-workers and friends they were always amazed!
He was born in Chester, Pennsylvania and attended Pennsylvania Military College in that town, serving upon graduation as a Master Sergeant in World War II. He was married for 62 years to Harriett Stahle until her death in 2006. He is survived by his five children, Ron, Rob, Gregg, David, and Kim and their spouses, as well as his dear friend and companion, Sara. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Megan, Patrick, Sean, Robbie, Lizzy, Nick, Lisa, and Jason, as well as grandchildren, Riley, Harper, Claire, and Elliott.
The family would like to express our gratefulness to the medical staff and nursing staff at Shell Point Hospice. Their kindness, professionalism, and warm care for our father was so appreciated.
He was such a wonderful “dad”, “pops”, “grandpa” and great grandpa to us all and
he is now and will always be greatly missed.
