I was a bit delayed (here in California) getting this terrible news about Gail. I grew up with her in NC and attended Organ Lutheran Church with her for many years. We were in the same graduation class at E. Rowan H.S. We were once the best of friends. Although we had not seen each other in forever, I still remember her very fondly. My sincere condolence to her family. May she rest-in-peace.

I am so sorry for the family of Gail I knew her from South Florida and she was always a ray of light. I lover her and miss her. She was a beutiful soul who was kind, loving and compassionate it   She had never ending love and strength

Gale was a true example of the phrase "one of a kind" - she was the most generous, kind hearted, fun loving person I've ever met and she was so beautiful in appearance and soul.

Over the (35) plus years that I had the pleasure of knowing her, we developed a bond of true friendship that I will cherish the memories of always.  I'll never forget you Gale.

What moves through us right now is silence, a quiet numbing sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word ,one more touch, one more sound of her laughter. You may not understand why she left this earth so soon, or why she left before you were ready to say good-bye; as you would have never been ready to say good-bye. But little by little, you begin to remember not just that she died, but that she lived. And that her life gave you memories too beautiful to forget.

Gale was the fun and friendship in my life for 50 years. We lived through the have and the have not times together. No jobs, National Airlines, marriages, her child,etc. But as you all know she was always able to make it fun or at least "better". Thank you Buddy for being there with and for her these last so many years. She loved you dearly. Her lost leaves a hole in my heart that will never be refilled. Goodby my dear friend. Thank you for the great memories that span my life.

In 1996/97 I had the immense pleasure of meeting Gale in our antiques and interior design shop at the Castle Herblingen, Switzerland. Gale bought a marble table and we invited her and her friends Edith and Charles Liggett for dinner at our home. It was one of the most cheerful dinners ever! Due to Gale. After her return to Florida we called a few times, but unfortunately lost contact the years to come. Yesterday I thought, why not call Gale again and I went through the internet to verify her telephone number. I am so sad to read she passed away this week and so sad why I did not contact her earlier. It shows in life one should not postpone untill tomorrow.
It would be assumptive of me to call her a friend, but I have very cherrished memories of meeting this wonderful person. I wish her son and family strenght with this great loss and hope Gale may rest in peace.

Hope we will meet again one day and that you will be as filthy and funny as ever. Thank you for the many undeserved gifts that you gave to my family. Rest in peace now the gorgeous and forever young Gale McBride.

Shocked and devastated by my dearest friend's death. Will miss her for the rest of my life and never forget her presence, generosity and sincerity. We were soul mates for 30 years and spent some memorable times together, always filled with love and laughter.Despite being separated by an ocean, Gale and I talked and wrote to each other practically on weekly basis for many years.I cannot come to terms that I will never talk to her again! I feel as if I lost the closest member of the family. My deepest sympathy to all her nearest and dearest - I am sure she will live in everybody's heart for ever...Rest in peace my special friend.

Gale was my first cousin and she was always so much fun when she attended our family get-togethers. I had a wonderful picture of her & Eddie made at one gathering and mailed it to her. She was so appreciative. I have other pictures and even some of Danny as a young boy (one picture he is sitting with Joe). Gale was surely a Daddy's girl. She took such good care of her mother after Uncle Zeb's passing. Wish I could come to her service. Joyce Smith Poole

I adored Gale..we started around the same time at National Airlines in Miami. Her door was always open to her friends, as she grabbed life and lived everyday to the fullest.
I have so many wonderful memories of flying with her and chatting away at her house. I hadn't seen Gale since our reunion in 2000. She invited all to come over to her house for lunch, that was just who she was. She loved life, National, her friends and family.  
Gale I will never forget you..rest, you have earned your Eternal Wings. Your National family mourns along with all who loved you. Our deepest condolences to your family.

Haven't seen Gale in years, but she was always my "beautiful cousin that lived in Florida" when I was a young girl. Her sparkling personality came from her Daddy...two of a kind! I'm sure the two of them are rejoicing in heaven today!
