She was preceded in death by her husband, Deane P. Woodworth; parents, Tito Tiberio, Margaret Mondo (Torcello-Tiberio), step-father George J. Mondo; brother, Nicholas J. Tiberio; daughter, Sherry Woodworth Farnsworth.
Elsie is survived by her loving children, John Ellis, Ann Marie Ellis, James Woodworth, Susan Woodworth Moore (James) and Susan Flagg (James). Her legacy includes thirteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends.
Elsie was born in Batavia, NY, on August 29, 1922. She was a loyal member of Batavia High School Class of 1939. Elsie was employed by New York Bell Telephone Company (1950-1977) and was a life-time member of Telephone Pioneers of America.
Elsie’s faith was the core of her life. As a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, she was active in the Altar and Rosary Society and was Director of the Catholic Youth Organization. In 1965 she received the Pro Deo Et Juventute Award from the Bishop of Buffalo for outstanding service, loyalty and devotion to youth. In her latter years, Elsie was a member of St. John XXIII Catholic Church of Fort Myers.
Wherever she lived, Elsie believed in service to her community. In her young adult years in Batavia, she volunteered at St. Jerome Hospital. While living in Stafford, NY, she belonged to the Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. During her years in Florida, Elsie was President of the Veranda Condominium Association, Cape Coral, and volunteered at Cape Coral Caring Center, Cape Coral Hospital, and St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church Gift Shop.
Elsie expressed her youthful spirit through dance, tennis, golf and quality time with family and friends. She was an enthusiastic supporter of her grandchildren, attending many of their special activities. Elsie was proud to be a devoted New York Yankee, Buffalo Bills and University of Notre Dame Football fan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Batavia at Ascension Catholic Church, 11 A.M., Saturday, August 9, 2014, followed by interment at the Morganville Cemetery, Stafford.
