Dwayne had a sixth sense in maneuvering a boat or yacht of any size without hesitation or a scratch. Such an avid hunter was he that he went bear hunting on crutches, much to the horror of his wife. He could catch, fillet and debone a northern pike with mad skills that became legendary. He was one of the most passionate Lions fans in the Silverdome. He was one of the luckiest people at cards, no matter the game. He was an enthusiastic coin collector and won trophies in snowmobile races while racing as part of a team. He loved driving for the Wounded Warriors and playing poker with his friends. He was a horse whisperer.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Marcia; his daughter Monica, children from his previous marriage, Wade, Monte and Yolanda and his grandchildren Simone, Heath, Merissa, Montgomery, Christie, Joe, Ashley and Zack and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Fannie & Arthur Bruns; his brother, Morris and his son, Heath Alan Bruns.
