She leaves a legacy of love, laughter, kindness, and friendship in her wake. She has taught us well on what it means to be loving, strong, and resilient. With her wit, she has shown us how humor can bring joy in good times, and how it can lessen the pain during times of struggle and ailing health. She has instilled in us the importance of being there for family and friends, showing us what it means to be “all in” for one another.
She has blessed us with her life, and for that we are grateful.
As the sun rises in the morning, we will embrace her spirit and carry her love forever in our hearts. We will love her to infinity and beyond.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Watson and Dorothy Ward, her husband, Ronald J. Ellig, her sisters Eileen Ward and Barbara Hojhus, and her brother, Jimmy Ward. She is survived by her children Denise Johnson and her husband Scott, Paul Ellig and his wife Shannan, and Eileen Ellig; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
There will be a private service for Joyce with family. Donations can be made to Hope Hospice.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.leememorialparkfuneralhome.com for the Ellig family.
