He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret Oldham and his brothers: William Oldham and Theodore Oldham.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne Oldham; children: Dawn Young, Dana Riley, Donald Paul Oldham Jr., Mimi Oldham, Danielle Simonetti and Keith Simonetti; grandchildren: Joshua Riley, Cody Oldham, Casey Braley, Marshall Strawhacker, Olivia Oldham, Caleb Oldham, Daniel Oldham; great grandchild: Alice Braley; sisters: Mary Anne Osborne, Betty Wogenstahl and Nancy Kiser and many additional loving family and friends.
Donald was a Thoroughbred horse jockey that raced in notable places such as – Latonia, Riverdowns, Churchill Downs, and Keeneland. He retired from racing and started a career as a Small Instrument Technician for GE. He retired again permanently and lived out the rest of his days with family.
A Memorial Service will be held at Hope Hospice Chapel 2430 Diplomat Parkway East Cape Coral, FL 33909 Saturday July 29th at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Lee Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Myers at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Donald’s name to Hope Hospice 9470 Healthpark Circle, Fort Myers FL 33908 would be appreciated.
