David Bartlett Stacy

David B. Stacy died peacefully at home on February 6, 2006. David was born August 4, 1940 in Mansfield, OH to Rev. Curtis B Stacy and Helen Saur Stacy. He was raised in OH and graduated from Wittenberg University. He then attended seminary for two years before joining the Army. He did a tour of Vietnam before being discharged. He then graduated from Andover Newton Seminary and became an ordained Lutheran minister.

David served churches in Manchester, CT, Providence RI and in Virginia. He retired and moved to Fort Myers FL. In retirement he has done supply and interim ministry and served as the Executive Director for the diakonia program in Florida.

David is survived by his wife Virginia and 3 daughters – Johanna Stacy of Northampton, MA, Maria Stacy of Carbondale, IL and Erica Stacy of Baltimore MD. He has a sister, Lois Garlough of Moneta, VA. He was pre deceased by a sister Miriam Whetstone and a brother Rev. John Stacy.

Visitation will be Friday, February 26, 2016 at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL 33913 from 6-8PM.
