Dear Chuck, I know you are listening to your old battle buddy.  After all these years, it's still not easy saying goodbye.  I miss your incurable craziness. Serving with you in War made it easier.  I still tell your stories, and put your pic on the local bar and have a shot with you on Vietnam Veterans Day, Veterans Day, and Memorial Day.  When I was listed on the Agent Orange Registry, I had no idea that young kid from NY would precede me. God bless you buddy. Fly high. Have a shot ready when it's my turn to see you.

My MAP, I know today is the day you're supposed to remember those who died in the line of duty.. and my prayers are with those men and women who did and their families! I am truley sorry for your loss.I had the pleasure to work with Chuck at FOB Spin Boldak. Chuck was very dedicated to his work and spoke often of how much he loved his family. We don't know what God's plan is for any of us but thankfully he has prepaired for us a place that we can live forever without any pain or sufffering. It was a terrible October day when hearing of the loss of my friend and loving Manager; Chuck Caputo...words which continue to sear my heart as would flames and causing grief like I have never known, to writhe deep within my soul.
