Barry Dean Quick, age 53, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013 at Hope Hospice house following a brave battle with cancer. He was a graduate of Susquehanna Valley High School, Conklin, NY and Delhi University, Delhi, NY, with an associate’s degree in electrical engineering.
He married his beloved wife, Karen (O’Brien) in 1994 and they moved to Florida in 1997. He spent his career working in commercial construction as an electrician and Project Superintendent.
Barry’s hobbies included fixing older cars, gardening and any handyman project that was on his “honey-do” list!
Barry is survived by his wife; three children – Heather (Quick) Brinson, Lindsey Quick, and Andrew Quick; three grandsons – Conner, Caden and Miles; sisters – Polly Bunsic and Jill Haney; brothers – Earl “Skip” and Terry Quick; and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents – Earl “Barney” and Charlotte Quick.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 15 at 2pm at Christ United Methodist Church, 1430 Homestead Road, Lehigh Acres, with visitation with the family at 1pm at the Church prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christ United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society in his memory.
Interment will be at a later date at Lee Memorial Park Cemetery, State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL 33913. Info 239-334-4880
