Barbara Ann McQuade

Barbara Ann McQuade, age 76, of Cape Coral, Florida (Formerly of Syosset, New York) passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 17, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband on October 2, 1993, Francis E. McQuade.

Barbara was always active and loved to volunteer her time and assistance with helping others. She was a very kind and thoughtful lady and she could brighten the spirits of those around her. Barbara will be missed dearly by everyone who knew her and her memory will carry on in the hearts of her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Rick and Kathy Schenck; son, Sean and Nicole McQuade; grandchildren, Alexa Rae, Samantha Lee, Brendon, and Haydon; sister, Jane Hammond; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends of Bill W.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 1922 SW 20th Ave, Cape Coral, Florida 33991 on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 11:00am. Interment will be at a later date in Locust Valley Cemetery, Locust Valley, New York.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, www.ovarian.org, or to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Cr. Fort Myers, Florida 33908.
