Annie Lee (Bunny) was born to the late Lee Hughes and Rebecca F. Jordan on July 12, 1935, in Columbia County, Florida. She was educated in the public school system there. She accepted Jesus as her personal savior at a young age. Mother Ann has served faithfully until most recently at Fellowship Church of God in Christ where her son, Elder Raymond Aaron is the pastor & First Providence Baptist Church in Augusta GA for six years as she was in recovery there with her daughter, until a sudden spell of illness fell upon her on November 26, 2019. To God be the Glory!
She attended Lee County Vocational School studying to be a Practical Nurse, after a few courses she returned to her previous employment at Lee Memorial Hospital and was promoted from Patient Care Technician (PCT) to Ward Secretary. She worked in various locations throughout the hospital, retiring in 2010 at 70 years old, a few months short of a 40-year employment history there!
Annie, was a Proverb 31 Woman (for her price is far above rubies) She was a seamstress, for the entire family she made shirts for her husband and five sons and dressed her and their only daughter to the hills with that great talent. She could sew about anything she set her mind to. She was skilled in crocheting, knitting, embroidery, and flower arrangement, there was not much she could not do, she could even repair small appliances, "Look at God Almighty!!!”

Special Thanks extended to Ms. Louise Smith for taking care of our dear mother for the past two years as she recovered at home, she even sat with her in the hospital for us. She was one of the first people mom spoke to when she started speaking again back in September.
Extra Special Thanks!!! extended to Mrs. Rosemary Merrickes for keeping a watchful eye on mama in the hospital and rehab center when we were unavailable.
She kept us informed of the updates hot off the press. She let the nurses and the doctors know what the family wanted done and assured that it was done.
Thanks to Mrs. Essie Ross for her friendship over 50 years.
