Amanda Grace Ferguson

Amanda Grace Ferguson, 18, of Lehigh Acres, FL passed away Monday, June 26, 2023 in a tragic car accident with four of her friends. Amanda was born August 10, 2004 to Chris and Elizabeth Ferguson in Fort Myers, FL. Amanda graduated from Lehigh Senior High School in 2022. She was currently attending FSW as a first-year student. Her lifetime goals were to become TikTok famous, however more importantly a high school math teacher, and cheerleading coach at her Alma Mater.

She was great cheerleader, not just in the sport but in her short 18 years of life here on Earth. In her younger years Amanda could be found the on fields cheering for the Lehigh Raiders pop warner football teams until she became a freshman where she would a proudly cheer for Lehigh Senior High School. Amanda gave back to her community by volunteering with LARC, Lehigh Raiders, Lehigh youth soccer program, and at many other community events.

Amanda started working at Texas Roadhouse in 2021, while working she proudly competed with the line dancing team and earned the title of “legendary trainer”, a job she took VERY seriously! She loved her job and her co-workers, many becoming her closest friends. Prior to Roadhouse she worked at Dunkin Donuts mastering the art of the perfect Iced Coffee.

Amanda was a messy bun, croc loving, Iced coffee connoisseur. She was a lover of Harry Styles and country music artist Morgan Wallen. Amanda lived life unapologetically and was authentically herself. She was full of light, happiness, sunshine and loved unconditionally.

Amanda is lovingly survived by her parents: Chris and Elizabeth Ferguson; brother, Christopher Ferguson; Mee-Ma's (Bobbi, Debbie, and Sabrina); Papa’s (Hank, Oscar, and Don); great grandmother Mary, several aunts, uncles and cousins as well as many, many, MANY friends!

Amanda was preceded in death by great grandparents (Glenn and Dorothy Burkepile); great grandparents (Grace and Robert Thackray); aunt “Terry” Thackray. She left this world alongside her friends Breanna Coleman, Eric Paul, Jackson Eyre, and Jesus Salinas.

There was nothing about Amanda you couldn’t love. She will be missed by all dearly.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, July 7, 2023 at 10am at Lehigh Senior High School Gymnasium, 901 Gunnery Rd, N. Lehigh Acres, FL 33971.
