First and foremost, Richard Gray lived his life loving wholly and fiercely, and we will follow his example and remember him this way. With sorrow we announce that Richard Allan Gray of Bullhead City, Arizona passed away at the age of 51 on May 8th, 2023. He is survived by the love of his life his wife Christina, his son Anthony, beloved parents, Gwen and Doug and sister Michelle. A lifelong lover of animals, it would be remiss to exclude mention of how his passing will also be felt by his and Christina’s cats, Rally, Maxx and their dog, Bandit. His mother insists that Richard could not wait to be born on December 22nd 1971 at Centinela Valley Hospital in Inglewood, California, and that he ”jumped right out” because he “didn’t want to stay in at all.” Though his life, Richard was a creator. Even outside of his career as a machinist, Richard would create a variety of things from artwork of his mascot Elroy Jetson to a skate ramp, from scratch, to use with his son. He loved cars and the simple pleasures of working on his home and yard. If we can learn anything from Richard’s life, it is courage, because nothing we face can possibly be scarier than hanging backwards off a guard rail over a sheer cliff face on a mountain. With courage, Richard always came out of hardship stronger than before. His perseverance led him to meet Christina, and the pure happiness she has brought him will live on forever. Richard is also survived by his aunt Lynn (John), Aunt Charmaine, Uncle Jack (Gizelle), Aunt Marilyn, Aunt Carol, Aunt Donna & Uncle Ron. In-laws, cousins and friends too numerous to mention.
We are fortunate to be able to remember the most joyous version of Richard. Those who would like to celebrate his life are invited to gather on May 19th at 11:00 AM at Dimond & Sons mortuary located at: 2620 Silver Creek Road in Bullhead City, Arizona 86442.
