Winsley Rose at 80, went home to be with the Lord on Monday October 10, 2022 In Coconut Creek, Florida. Winsley was born to Ernestine Leona and Frederick Wellington Rose in Georgetown Guyana, South America on April 17,1942.
From a young age Winsley loved to play cricket and soccer, he was on a city league in Guyana. Winsley and his wife Desiree moved their family to America in October 1976. His occupation was an electric motor rewinder for over 40 years, until he retired in 2008. In his early 40's he was reunited with his love for soccer. He got to teach and encourage kids in the sport he loved.
Late in life he was introduce to a new passion, bowling. Winsley became an avid bowler. He bowled on men's league, at his church for many years. Winsley Rose leaves behind his wife of 51 years. Their two kids, Sandra (Young) Rose and Wesley Rose. His grandkids Alexis Young and Maxwell Young. And his daughter Ricka Murray and her kids. Winsley is survived by his sisters Noeline Rose, Rita Prince, Fredell Rose and his brothers Carlton Rose, Enos Rose and Lawerence (Larry)Rose. He also leaves behind a large group of nieces, nephews, cousins and their family.
Winsley's parents, his nephew Shawn Rose, sister Leona (Louisa) Lawrence and his brother Collin Rose were ready to greet him when the angels brought him to the gate. His family and friends will forever remember him for his laughter and his beaming smile. Gone from our sight but never from our heart.
