William Godfrey

William Duncan Godfrey, affectionately called “Willie” was born on October 2, 1949, in Richmond Hill, St Catherine, Jamaica. He is the second of 6 children from the union between the late Percival Arthur Godfrey and Evelyn Godfrey

Willie was given the name of William by his grandfather, William Duncan Godfrey. He attended Mount Nebo Primary School, in Guy’s Hill, St Catherine, Jamaica. He loved the game of cricket and developed into a master batsman at the primary school level.

After completing primary school, Willie moved to Kingston to pursue a higher level of education, in which he earned a diploma in account from the renown Duff’s Business School.

Willie Managed to pull off a rare feat, he hones his spirit of conquest with kindness. He was one of this kindest people you could ever find. He was always ready to respond to the need of the family, no matter what it took.

Mourning his passing are

• Children: Georgina and William Godfrey Jr.

• Evelyn Godfrey, his 94 years old Mother

• Sisters: Patricia, Hillary and Sheila.

• Brothers: Percival and Joshua.

• Children: Georgina and William Godfrey Jr.

• 6 Grandchildren: Rudy, Mark, Nick, Kiara, Jeremiah, Josiah

• 1 Great Grandchild: Giavanna Mckenzie

A visitation for William will be held Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 10:00 AM - Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 2401 Southwest 64th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM A committal service will occur Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 2401 Davie Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317.
