Paul and to Scott’s family, I am so devastated to hear of Scott’s passing. Scott and Paul were our neighbors and an integral part of the family created when they lived at the Metropolitan in Wilton Manors. Scotty-so-Hottie you will be so missed and I want to thank you for your support, generosity and kindness. Thanks for being an inspiration to being a better human being.

Scott was such an amazing man, gracious, intelligent, engaging, a kind spirit. I always looked forward to any gathering knowing he was going to be there with his beautiful big smile. My heart goes out to all the people who were in his life

Scott and I met in college at W&L and spent the next ten years navigating our 20s together. Fun times in Atlanta in the early 90s, getting into all sorts of shenanigans with friends. Even after we parted ways, Scott and I remained friends and communicated often - he even connected me with his favorite realtor when I bought my place in Ft Lauderdale in 2003 and I would grab dinner with Scott and Paul when in town. 

Scott was one of those rare individuals who lit up the room when he entered, making everyone feel like they were the most important person there. His friends at W&L and in Atlanta adored him as did his co-workers at Turner International, where he played a key role in getting Ted Turner’s U.S. film library onto the newly-independent TV networks of the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe - particularly the Czech Republic. We enjoyed many weekends with his mom Jacquie and sisters Danielle and Lisa, and at his Dad and Beth’s place, playing in the garden.

I am completely heartbroken at Scott’s passing. We had just exchanged texts a couple of weeks prior inquiring about each other’s families. My heart goes out to all of you who loved Scott so deeply. I miss him terribly.

Scott and I and several others hung together in Atlanta in the early 90s while we were living there. 
One memory that particularly sticks out is giving a friend a “surprise” garage sale. 
We posted big signs all over the friend’s neighborhood one evening announcing the garage sale the next morning - a Saturday. The signs announced fresh hot donuts and coffee available and that all items were clearance priced - including his new car. 
A crowd showed up. Scott and I shortly got an “irritated” phone call the next morning - seems the friend suspected. It became a great story we laughed abt

Scott loved to garden. The Butchart Gardens in British Columbia was a favorite trip.

While this picture was being taken, the Captain was speaking ship wide, saying, please do not feed the wildlife. The glacier behind the hungry seagull Scott was feeding was melting.

Scott and I have been friends since 1994. I am heartbroken. He was such a goofball but with such an incisive and penetrating mind. He was charming and interesting and interested in other people. When we lived in the same city, we saw each other nearly every day for years at a time, and there was always something fresh and new that he would want to have a conversation about.  He could speak about so many fascinating subjects with insight and I always admired the breadth of his knowledge. His love language was giving. It was hard for me because I never wanted to feel like I was taking advantage of him, even though his generosity made him happy and I liked seeing him happy. Most of all, I liked laughing with him even if it meant laughing at his ridiculously silly jokes. My time with him was a gift and I will always be grateful for it.

There are just too many dinners, too many trips, and too many days working side by side to share 1 memory!!  We have shared some of the best times in my life. You will always be loved, you will always be missed and you are always in my heart!!!❤️
