Ruby Louise Huntsinger, 91 of Hollywood, FL was brought home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 21st, 2018. She has joined her husband, Ray Huntsinger; her daughters, Esther Roe and Judy Harris; and her great grandson, Anthony Gonzalez, who preceeded her in death. She leaves behind her granddaughters, Ginger Denise and Calleen Shirley; her grandsons, Jerry Mayer and Raymond DeMercurio; her great grandchildren, Joshua Gonzalez, Rae Lynn Marotto, Rebel Blalock, Derek and Nicolas Denise and her great, great grandchildren, Reese and Felix Blalock and Jase Gonzalez.
Ruby was born in Ocala, FL and moved to Georgia for several years before moving to Fort Lauderdale in 1948. She retired from Garret Hydraulics in 1992 as an inspection supervisor for aero space parts. She was proud of the fact that some of the parts that she helped manufacture were used on the very first space shuttle. Although she held many jobs throughout her lifetime, her favorite job, which she more than excelled at was being a loving matriarch to her family. Anyone who has ever met her was a better person for it. She just had a special way. In 2001, she moved to Hollywood to live with her granddaughter, Ginger and her husband Greg Denise and family until her final day.
Our hearts are heavy, but we rejoice in the knowledge that she has gone home to heaven and is now in God’s grace. Ruby brought joy and light to every person that ever met her. She truly was the precious jewel that her name represents. We will miss her dearly, until we meet again.
The visitation and memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with the memorial service beginning at 7:00 pm. The burial will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens 2401 Davie Road Davie, FL. 33317
