Rosemarie was a kind and loving person who made it a point to bring smiles to everyone she met.  I had the pleasure of calling her Nan.

She was always there for me and my parents, taking me on Friday nights when I was a kid so my parents could enjoy time to themselves. We would go to the movies or bowling or the playground.  Every Saturday morning she would make breakfast and put on cartoons. She's the one who taught me how to play cards.

Every day that goes by has been tough, knowing that her smile will only live on in pictures and memories, knowing that we won't be able to share our stories over lunch when I come down to visit. I miss you everyday Nan, and one day we'll be together again.

Oh my, this is harder than I thought possible... I didn’t realize how much I loved   Mrs. Barbieri still ...when I first caught back up with Carole on FB and saw posts of her mom, I thought, she has not changed a bit , and it made the past 40 melt away and our teenage years seem like yesterday...  so when I heard the news a wave of sorrow passed over me  so strong it startled me.  I met Mrs Barbieri at the ripe age of 15.  Her daughter Carole was one one my besties .  My mother and Rosemary were both single moms,   so I did a lot of comparing...   The Barbieri Sample road home was our home, during the teenage growing up years. We all felt loved there with no judgements.  I remember knowing how lucky Carole was that she had a mom who took time to get to know her friends.  Mrs Barbieri loved us wild , free spirited  girls unconditionally because she knew we all loved her daughter.  We were welcome in their home with open arms and Mrs. Barbieri was a big family role model in my life. I got to know  my children's friends because Mrs. Barbieri taught me how important it was to her that she knew Caroles friends. She let you know she trusted you to do the right thing.  What a gift to pass on! Thank you Mrs Barbieri for your wise and wonderful life lessons I treasure . I will be looking forward to reminiscing with  you when I pass. Please keep an eye on all of us wild crazy girls till then. 

Rosemarie was always going on adventures and cruises with her daughter Carol and they would always come back and share stories and laughs from their trips. My favorite story was when Rosemarie accidentally smuggled bottles of rum back on the ship after an excursion day because they didn't make her go through the regular security. 

For every life, there is a purpose. We cannot always know this purpose, but some people seem destined to live a life of love and inspiration. RoseMarie was a gift from heaven who taught everyone around her what friendship, love, humbleness and goodness were truly about. The truly good belong in heaven, and I know she is smiling on us from there and guiding us along the way. May her soul rest in peace.

I/We loved and cherished our time with RoseMarie over the years. God blessed us one last time with the opportunity to see her in December (after a year and a month apart) for a reason. We shared an amazing family time together and it was our time for saying our goodbyes. Now we know why, He blessed us with that time and we are all thankful for it!

Dear Carolanne and family,
It started several years ago. One evening I was asked to play 
Canasta. Thats's when I met you,  Rosemarie. You were easy to play with. You were patient with me. Since I was only playing a short time. 

Now let's not forget our Thursday evenings. I came to your home with a new game, Tri-ominos. You were hooked. You loved it and from that Thursday on that's what we "gals" played.
Knowing you for a few short years is and was not enough. A kind a considered lady, smart and intuitive.
Rosemarie always  had a smile on her face,  had pleasant things to say/talk about. She loved her daughter, son-in-law and family so very much.

The first time I visited Carol and Butch I was lucky enough to meet Rosemarie. She always had a smile and was very friendly.  She was a loving lady who was loved by many as I am sure she loved them too. I was so glad that I got the chance to meet you. Rest in Peace Rosemarie you will be missed dearly. I only met Mrs . Barbieri once at Holly's  and Trevor's wedding she was so nice to me and my family.  I would have  liked to  known her better. P lease know that all your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

How do I explain 20 plus years I've been doing your hair the history of you and the conversations about your family, friends and the chocolate wine you loved so much. Bingo was always fun with friends. You were loved by so many people and the caring love you gave to Martha was unconditional. I feel like such a better person just have knowing you. Rosemarie was such a beautiful soul. 4 years ago I visited  FL and she came over to Aunt Carol's. She was just the sweetest thing and my son loved her immediately. I remember she gave him $5 to spend on anything, she had just met him.  The second time we visited
Bradley climbed right up on her lap the second she sat down and I snapped 2 of the best pictures ever. Her beautiful spirit shines through you Aunt Carol. We love you so much. 

I’ve known Rosemary Barbieri.  Since I moved here in 2009 when I moved her from Winter Springs, Florida.  I’ve meet her when I walked through the Ramble wood club house.  I saw a bunch of girls playing Mah Jongg.  One asked me if I would to join  and they asked for my phone number.  Then Rosemary, Martha and I continue playing other games as well. We played May I and Five crowns. We had fun every Wednesday, and Saturday afternoon.
 
Then it was a Jewish holiday called Sukkah.  My family and I had invited Rosemary and Martha to join us. Rosemary was very interested in why we do all of this my husband and I explained.  She never felt uncomfortable to ask any questions.
 
Rosemary will be very much missed by me and my family.

Dear Carole and family, My deepest condolences to you and your family.  
I had the great Blessing of meeting Mrs. Barbieri as a young teen, through my friendship with Carole.
 I  remember Mrs . Barbieri so fondly.  Whether it be driving Carole and I to or from each other's houses, school events, listening to our silly conversations, giggling and laughing with us (or maybe it was at us).     I look back into my memories and recall her smiling, laughing and  joyfully, welcoming me so easily.     She always greeted me with open arms, smiling, a kiss on the cheek, and twinkling eyes.  I didn't know it then,  I did not understand or recognize the special quality she  had for life.  I recognize it now, as an adult;  the soulfulness of her Spirit. It is Love.  Love of life, of others, cherishing her family and friends.  Mrs. Barbieri displayed the epitome of  living a Happy Life, following the example from the  Beatitudes:  Matthew 5 :8 " Blessed are the pure of heart for they will see God".  Mrs. Barbieri in her own way gave of herself to bless others.  This I believe is true.  As God has called her home,  I believe He welcomed her with open arms, smiling, giving her a kiss on the cheek and a twinkle in his eyes, saying "Thank You faithful servant, job well done.  Come we have much more to do".  
In   honor of Mrs. Barbieri , I  will try to welcome others, smile more often, kiss and hug others.  I'll try to have twinkling eyes, if not I'll look to Carole, as  she carries the same joy.

Rosemarie has been nothing short of lovely every time I had the good fortune of being in her presence.  When she spoke of her family she lit the room. I see her legacy in her daughter, my very dear friend Carol. 
Carol dedicated her mother's last weeks to her, because that is the kind, generous and loving daughter Rosemarie raised.  
Rosemarie will be greatly missed snd fondly remembered. Rest easy Rosemarie. There are many people in Carol's and the rest of the family's lives that are looking out for them. 



Our family had just moved to Florida on Sample Rd. I didn't know a soul but soon met Carol who lived across the walkway from us with her mother Rosemarie. We became friends and her friends became mine Rosemarie worked at Westinghouse with my mom. Rosemarie made the best lasagna I have ever eaten she was a fantastic cook! I lost contact after moving many times but reconnected with Carol a few years ago and was so happy to see Rosemarie on my last visit to Florida she looked the same to me some people just never change. She still had that smile and quiet manner, Rosemarie was a great mom and in my opinion a strong woman. May her beautiful soul rest in Heaven .

My family had just moved to Floida I didn't know a soul there but soon met Carol and her mom they lived across the walkway from us on Sample Rd.
A friendship developed and Carol's friends became my friends and Rosemarie worked at Westinghouse with my mom. Rosemarie was a terrific cook she made the most delicious lasagna I have ever tasted and she was a great mom.
After losing contact with Carol and Rosemarie for over 30 years I came to Florida a few years back and reconnected with Carol and this past year I came again and was invited for brunch to see Rosemarie I am so glad I got to spend that morning with her she was an exceptional mom and a truly wonderful woman .May her beautiful soul rest in peace .

Where to start? 10th grade Carol and I became best friends in Coral Springs HS.. we spent so much time in the apt on Sample Rd... memories of dinners, canned beets and sneaking around together, but Rosemarie always showed us love --- our first road trip to Orlando for Disney will forever be on my heart. She always made me feel like one of the family.. her heart was huge! 

You are loved and i cannot wait to see you again! I believe you are with the angels and the loved ones who have gone on before you to welcome you to the everlasting love of our Father in Heaven...


The first time I met Rosemarie, she immediately greeted me with a smile and a kiss on the cheek. She has always been kind, welcoming, and wonderful. She was an incredible poker player, and enjoyed any adventures the family wanted to try out! I'm so thankful for the privilege of knowing her and having the opportunity to call her "Nan".  She will be greatly missed, and I know that she will live on through fond memories and stories of everyone who has met her. Nan, I hope you are happy, healthy, and surrounded by love. Thank you for all your love you gave me over the years.

I am so grateful to have had the chance to have Rosemarie in my fitness classes.  She was always  warm and smiling.  She will live on in Carol and the family she leaves here on earth.  Sending hugs and sympathy to all who mourn her loss.  Remember her often and she will live on in your hearts.  Love never dies.
