Robert T. Norris of Sunrise, Florida passed away on Tuesday, August 6th after his long battle with congestive heart failure and Alzheimer’s disease. Born January 20th, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois, Robert was 90 years old when he left us physically.
In his younger years, Robert wrestled for his beloved high school wrestling team at Austin High School. Later on, he enlisted in the US Army. He was honorably discharged, and then traveled the country with his drum and bugle corp. He then worked many years in the refrigeration mechanic industry, which brought him to Florida where he met his beloved late wife, Marcia Norris.
Robert is survived by his children Jan Norris, Lynn Harris, Sean Gahagan, and Christopher Norris. He is also survived by his grandchildren Kaitlyn Gahagan, Christine Scrivener, and Geoffrey Scrivener.
Over his 90 years of life, Robert was a loving, selfless, tough man. He always put his family before himself and made it a goal to make sure everyone was happy and cared for. He served as a father figure to everyone in his life, and without a doubt will be greatly missed by all those he’s impacted.
