Peter was born in Vineland, NJ to Ida Carli and Peter J Bonasto Sr. on April 8, 1948. He attended Sacred Heart Grade and High Schools in Vineland, NJ.
He graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism in 1970, Kent State University with a Master of Education in 1972 and Spring Garden College with a Bachelor of Science in Technology in 1983.
He married David Wedel on September 20, 2016 in Coral Gables, Florida.
Peter is preceded in death by his parents, Peter J Bonasto, Sr., Ida Carli DiBrigida and Stepfather Nicolas DiBrigida. His nephew Michael Matalucci and cousin Barbara Carli.
Peter is survived by his spouse, David Wedel, his sister Beverly Bonasto Privito (Mark) numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
A special memorial service is being held at Palm Aire, Pompano Beach on January 24, 2025 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
