Paul E Marum

Paul E. Marum, aged 93, died on October 5, 2023 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, after a brief illness. Paul was born on November 26, 1929 in Fall River. He was the son of Thomas E. Marum, a Fall River policeman, and Ruby (Porter) Marum, a homemaker. Paul graduated from Monsignor Coyle High School in 1947 and Providence College in 1951. Following his college graduation, Paul joined the U.S. Marine Corps, in which he proudly served for two years. Paul graduated from Boston University Law School in 1956. Upon his graduation from law school, Paul joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation where he spent the rest of his career. His postings with the F.B.I. included New York City and San Juan, Puerto Rico. He had lived in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida since the mid-1970’s. Paul was pre-deceased by his parents, his brother Thomas E. Marum, Jr., his sister Helen Marum Dolan, and his sister Anna Marie Marum. He is survived by his brother James E. Marum of Bangkok, Thailand, his nephew Andrew Dolan of Fall River, Massachusetts, and his nieces Kathleen Flynn (Matthew) of Swansea, Massachusetts, Amy Marum of Manassas, Virginia, Jane Marum Roush (David) of South Dartmouth, and Elizabeth M. Ross (Van) of Springfield, Virginia. In addition, Paul is survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews and their children. Paul’s beloved niece, Ann M. Welch (Michael), who was instrumental in his care in his later years, died earlier this year.
