  I deeply regret the passing of my loyal friend of nearly forty years. Although I  am not receiving visitors and told him not to  come he insisted on  coming  just two  weeks before he died. And all nature was   so well mi xed in him so all who knew him may stand and say He was a good  man.My sincere  condolence to  Vivia and Dave.



So very grateful to have met and been associated with Oscar  over these many years but still would want to have known him for much longer.

Oscar was such a fine human being.  Always caring and reaching out to those with whom he came in contact. Our long business relationship has been so very satisfying to both ourselves. I shall always cherish our relationship.

Daddy Chin Loy was an icon in his community,  a father in his family, an entrepreneur with a clear vision and a person of integrity.....so mild mannered and extremely benevolent. So many have looked up to him as a role model, mentor and leader. 
His legacy will forever Remain in our hearts.

Dearest Vivia and family the pain of losing your dad must be searing. Be comforted by the legacy of the rich life he lived. Your parents are my role models. Oscar and Florence Chin-Loy were gentle giants. They lived a life of honesty, hard work, creativity, dedication to their family and community, philanthropy through service in the Lions Club, strong Christian principles and above all their great love for each other. I shall treasure always the occasions of their 50th and 60th wedding anniversaries. Their love for each other was always palpable. They have  both gone to be with their Saviour - may they rest in eternal peace.

When I reflect on the life of Oscar Chin-Loy whom I fondly called Mr. Chin-Loy, the following capitalized words seem to appropriately align with the initials of his name OSCAR:

OVERSEER of all operations
STALWART in business and family

RESPECTFULL and valued all people

I met Mr. Chin-Loy upon association with his loving daughter Vivia my sister–in–law.  Although I came to know him as loyal husband and father, I learned a lot about his strength in character from the many with whom he conducted business, many for whom his wise counsel has raised them up, those for whom he’s provided employment all over Jamaica as he diligently travelled to collect pimento among other spices for the global marketplace,, his high levels of service by partnering on programs for schools and funding in his community but most of all I have consistently learned about his business prowess, his wisdom, protection and strong caring for his family and community through my parents and his son-in-law my brother Michael Stern. In his presence I found him to be mostly a quiet observer just awaiting a moment to humbly share. He was a master of soft skills and a proud and great provider always yearning to achieve great heights not just for himself but a legacy for the many generations to come…RIP Mr. Chin-Loy.....we will meet again in Sweet Beulah Land.

Mr Chinloy was one of my best and favourite customers. He was always pleasant, kind and light up your day with his captivating smile. He stood tall and demanded your attention as he enters the room. I enjoyed speaking with him always and he leaves encouraging words at the end of every conversation.  Oscar, I can positivity say you have enriched my life and I thank God the day I met you. You have left a great legacy of kindness in Vivia and Dave. Take your position among the stars. You have ran a great race. Miss you so much but your memory will forever be in my heart.

Two of the most solid people I’ve met. Mr .& Mrs Chin Loy were true examples of how to  nourish & flourish a family. He always had a smile and a positive word to say.  He was one of my fav people because of his humor and his drive.  He will be missed.  However he has left a legacy that will continue through the younger generations.  Walk good sir!

In the short time I have spent with Mr Chin-Loy I can say that he was a very calm and pleasant man. May his soul RIP.

We the Powell family from St. Bess and Atlanta wish to say how much we miss you. Daddy Chin as we called you, was a God sent. You helped to change our lives from just "getting by" to prosperity. When we saw the truck geared down for the pimento we knew then that hardship was over. You also helped me to get the student visa for my son to study in the U.S; we sure made good use of it. To the Chinloy family, we owe a debt of gratitude and will forever be grateful. Sleep on Daddy Chin! Sleep and take your rest. We love you so so much but Jesus love you best; goodbye. May God keep the Chin-Loy family safe and continue to bless them. They are chosen to bless others..

Our hearts were truly saddened on learning of the death of your beloved dad, however we take comfort in the fact that he's resting in  a  place free from pain and suffering.

Good morning am so sorry about mr chin loy death he's going to be missed I remember the years back in Jamaica ,While driving truck in Jamaica and used to go lensted to deliver pimento to mr chin loy he was very nice to me we use to sit down and talk about business he use to ask why you don,t come back to Jamaica and help my father in the business , And if I need someone talk to I could call me for advice But at the time I wasn't interested now am sorry I should listen to him now I would been living better life he was a good man,I was trying to come this year from july to look for him but because of cornavisus I didn't get to come but maybe his souls RIP.
