Michael Stephen Cooper

Michael Stephen Cooper of Wilton Manors, FL, born December 13, 1952, son of the late William Cooper and Barbara Beckham passed away on February 8, 2020. Michael is survived by his wife, Susan Cooper; brother, Patrick Cooper; stepmother, Silvia Cooper; stepsister, Laurie Calise; stepbrothers, Leland Tharpe and Robert Tharpe; son, Nicholas; daughter, Cecelia; stepchildren, Gregory, Lisa, Michael, Aimee, Jeremy and Tiana; grandchildren, Ryan, Desiree, Cameron, Michael Jr., Dylan, Tyler, Aubrey, Gabriel, Tristyn, Cole, Matthew, Nathaniel and Brayden.

Michael loved all kinds of sports especially baseball and football. Michael worked in the Hotel-Hospitality business as a Concierge for over 25 years. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family, watching sports, playing games on his phone, painting, watching his grandchildren grow up and you can’t forget about politics. He loved politics! He also enjoyed kayaking, fishing and traveling. Michael loved when the whole family would come over for family dinners. He adored his family dearly and Michael loved interacting with people, he could strike up a conversation with anyone anywhere, he always made friends. He had the heart to help others especially his family and never hesitated to lend a hand to a stranger.

Michael had a big heart, a canny sense of humor, loved to laugh and be around people. He did the best he could for his family by being an amazing dad and grandfather and a loving husband. He faced some challenging battles with his health late in his life, but his whole family supported and encouraged him through it all, they stood by his side. And today again they stand as ONE to love and support Michael as he enters the pearly gates of heaven.

Memorial service for Michael will be held at Broward Burial and Cremation, 1801 East Oakland Park Blvd. Fort Lauderdale, FL 33306 on Saturday, February 22nd, 2020 at 2PM, there will be a reception following the service.
