Mary Ann Koch, 87, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, passed away on July 14, 2020 after a brief illness. She was born on July 22, 1932 to Marion and James Stanton in Buffalo, New York. Mary Ann graduated from Buffalo State College and became a teacher. She later became a realtor prior to retiring and moving to Florida. Mary Ann is survived by a son, R James Koch MD of Montara, CA and a daughter, Mary Colleen Koch of Chicago, IL
Known for her independent spirit and quick wit, Mary Ann enjoyed dancing, watching NFL football games, and spending time with her family’s dogs and cats.
A memorial service will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Best Friends Animal Society at bestfriends.org in memory of Mary Ann Koch.
