Mario Bermudez

Mario was born in Montevideo ,Uruguay ,at the neighborhood of La Comercial on March 14 1958. His parents were Mario Bermudez and Elida Diago and his younger brother ,Jorge Bermudez . His elementary school was Escuela Leonor Horticou and then went to High School at Liceo Miranda in Montevideo .

He arrived to the United States in 1984 and his first job was in Burger King ,there were other jobs after that but for many years his profession was in the printing business. His high school graduation in America was in 1988.

At the age of 33he experienced his first battle with cancer beating it after a prolonged fight. His constant travels to Uruguay bring him closer to Azucena Bermudez whom he married in 1999. He was back to work in printing while he qualifies to work at TSA. He works there 2 years at Miami Airport. But Mario was always looking for a challenge and that way he qualifies for CBP achieving his goal in 2005. There he puts his best until his final day . A courageous fighter he battles and defeats another cancer leaving us a legacy of dignity that not too many achieved throughout their lives. Mario loved to read and had a passion for soccer. He did not have children but leaves an extended family composed by relatives, “life brothers”,real friends and nieces and nephews for whom he will always be a great example : Georgina Bermudez,Gabriela Bermudez,Yanina Bermudez and Canel Gomez. Beside his honesty and dignity we will never forget the theme of his life .....” Everything is possible”
