I only had the pleasure of being with Lou a few times while he was married to my sister, Joanne, as I live in Ohio.  He came and visited me for a few days while I was recovering from cancer.  I just found out about your loss.  He died just 12 days before my husband, Tony.

I just found out of Lou's passing as I looked him up to show my grandson.  I have fond memories of him growing up as we were so close to his mom, Rose.  We lived on Lappin Ave.  My parents were George and Carmella Rey.

Hi Michael, I was very sad to hear of your Dad's passing. I enjoyed two wonderful summers as an instructor at your Dad's and Bobby Nevin's hockey school in Toronto. So many great memories of your Dad and Bobby, being on the ice with them and all the young boys. You and Jeffrey were around 7 and 8 and I still remember your big smiles and how much you enjoyed hockey. I really appreciated the opportunity your Dad and Bobby gave me, and they offered me great advice before going to Buffalo Sabres training camp. I was living in Los Angeles when Jeffrey passed. I wrote to your Dad and then got together with him when the Penguins were in town for a game. That was the last time I saw your Dad. I've thought of you and your Dad often over the years, hoping you were doing well.  Please accept my sincere condolences, Michael.  Donny
