My heart aches at the loss of my Godmother, a woman who embodied strength and love for those close to her. 

Though tears fall for the loss I feel, there's comfort in knowing she's reunited with her beloved daughter, Pam, who we lost years ago. They're together again, at peace in God's loving embrace.

My Last visit to Florida I was 10 years old. My brothers and I were playing around in Mama Taylor’s living room and we broke a glass vase and I was upset because I believed that I would be in a lot of trouble. Mama Taylor surprised me because while she was firm in telling me that we shouldn’t have been playing in the house, she assured me that things aren’t as important as people and that they unlike people are replaceable. Unfortunately Mama Taylor can never be replaced but she will always be near and dear to my heart. Rest In Peace, Love Shane (Buzu)

To my dearest Brother-in-law Banga, my Sister Marlene and the entire Edwards and Taylor family my deepest condolences to you all. Ms. T or Mama T, I called her at times, who I am going to truly miss. She was a warm and lovely woman however, she was a no nonsense kind of woman too. Ms. T don’t play! But was a down to earth soul. There aren’t too many words to say on how to mend a broken heart when you lose a loved one, but what I can say is  keep the faith, trust in the Lord, and hold on to the love and the memories you cherished in you hearts. When you start to feel sad just look back on  those memories and the good times you all shared with her. Rest In Peace now Mama T for you’re in great hands. My memories of Aunt Linda goes back over 40 years.  She was a very close friend of my mom and visited frequently.  We spent many Sundays and holidays together in Brooklyn and Florida  laughing and playing dominoes. 

Aunt Linda  was a beautiful, classy lady with a great smile and a wonderful sense of humor.  I will always treasure the memories of the times we spent together.

My deepest condolences to Bunny and Marlene on the passing of Bunny’s mom, I have so many fond memories of the boys hanging out at Bunny’s and she would feed us all. May her soul Rest In Peace

Linda and I shared so much throughout the years, and I now share the weight of her loss with the people who love her.
Linda and I met while working together in Montego Bay in 1968 and we hit it off right away and our friendship grew and blossomed into a great sister relationship.  In 1970 I migrated to New York, but we never lost touch with each other.   Sometimes in the late 70s Linda also moved to the United States and although we were living in different cities (me in Brooklyn, she in Manhattan, then to  Los Angeles) distance did not keep us apart.  Linda was not only my friend, I considered her my sister – we were so very close that when I had my daughter in 1980 she became her godmother.  My sister was a great cook and she also loved to bake Christmas cakes and Patties – which were such great hits.
In 1974 I moved to Florida and to my surprise Linda moved to Florida too and we were inseparable – we went practically everywhere together including church.  
My dear friend, we had some amazing times together and I know that our friendship transcends death.  A true friend is never truly gone, their spirit lives on in the memories of those who love them.
I am going to miss your smile.  I am going to miss you my friend and the memories we share will never be forgotten.
To Bunny and Marlene -death leaves a heartache no one can heal but love leaves a memory no one can steal.  During this difficult time, may faith, family and friends bring you peace.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. (Matt 5:4)

I remember when you would travel back and fourth to Jamaica from California. Never a time you would not bring my sister and I a special gift. Of them all was my (fanny pack) 
Your advise to me was always " girrlll make sure you not working too hard" 
After every conversation you would say " remember your aunty loves you Tasha"
We are all sad and It breaks my heart to see and hear my dad cry now that your gone.

Losing friends or loved ones is never easy, no matter how many losses you suffer.
But when someone passes it gives us the opportunity to reflect on their legacy.
Smile knowing, they left us better off for just having them around.
The kindness, good nature, and loving heart they imprinted on all who knew her, should make us all better people. There is no better legacy to leave behind.  She was a dear and loving friend.

What a beautiful, intelligent, compassionate, loving Aunt you were. I’m so glad that we got to know you. You were very special to my father and all of us and we will miss you greatly. I only regret that we didn’t get to Florida before you left us.

We are all saddened by Mrs. Taylor’s passing; however we, as earthly beings, must accept God’s Devine plans for each of us.
I first met Mrs Taylor as a patient, over 33 years ago in Los Angeles, and that meeting  progressed to become a healthy friendship before she became like family, as did her children, Pam and Bunny, and  daughter-in-law, Marlene.
I recall her kindness and unique smile. I remember  the delicious meals and fruit cakes she gifted me on some of her office visits which were not just visits, but served  as an opportunity to converse and to share her motherly philosophy and advise. In her latter years, her memory deteriorated as ours will if we live long enough.
We should all take this opportunity to look into the mirror of our lives, and ask ourselves what can we learn from that mirror. What will our legacy be, and how will we be remembered when we get to the state of where Mrs. Taylor was and is now.
We should all take the time to review our lives and relationships, from time to time.
Although Mrs. Taylor will be missed by those who loved and cared for her, she is now in a better place as we should all hope to be when we are called to depart this life.
May God bless her soul, and bless and console her family and those who loved and cared for her🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼………

It’s really hard saying goodbye to one of the most influential women in my life. Mama, we met on the first day that you visited California and I was swept off my feet by your take charge personality. 
I took the liberty to introduce myself and told you that by the time you left, we would be like mother and son.  Your response was “ I doubt that” with your cute smile to back it up. 
  I am thankful that throughout our time together, our relationship really grew stronger not only by you accepting me as a son but lovingly becoming the Godmother of my daughter Kamille and a wonderful additional mother to my wife Jennifer , grandmother to all my children who you showered with love. 
  Through the years each morning after I finished my graveyard shift in LA , you were always the first to call and keep my company on the phone for my 42 mile drive home. We would chat about everything which I will always cherish. I will miss you Mama and always love you until we meet again.
 Its hard to accept that you are asleep but I know that God had better plans for you🙏🏾

I’m so heart broken right now and can’t believe my Godmother is gone. I’m even more sad that I didn’t get to see her one last time and tell her how much I loved her. I can still remember when we lived in Inglewood almost 30 yrs ago going over her house next door just so I could eat up all her plantain and egg in the morning.
