L.C. Crawford was born in Ochlocknee, Georgia on March 25, 1932 to the late Ollie Lenton and Clarence Crawford. He enlisted in the United States Army during the Korean War. He received an honorable discharge after his four year tour of duty.
L.C. met and later married the love of his life, Annie Ruth Harden, on October 18, 1957. After their marriage, they relocated from Pelham, Georgia to Fort Lauderdale, Florida and later to Miami, Florida where they lived most of their 63 years of marriage.
L.C. worked several jobs, but ultimately started his career in 1962 with Public Works in the City of Bal Harbour, Florida. In 1996, after 34 years of employment, L.C. retired as Supervisor of the Public Works Department of Bal Harbour.

Glenda Spence and Lowell Crawford (daughter in law-Beverly Crawford); Four grandchildren Keishia Wallace, Kadeja Jackson, Lowell Crawford, Jr. (wife-Roytrice Crawford), and Lance Crawford; and five great grandchildren Nia Asefa, Kaj Baker, Lloyd Crawford,
Dax Baker, and L’Oréal Crawford; a Sister Doris Hawkins , and a host of other family and friends.
