

Kathryn (Lee) Hattam, 98, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida passed away on September 8, 2010. Kathryn (Yatch, Kay, Mom, Bana, Kate, Katie Lee, Kay Kay) Lee was born in Portland Maine, the youngest of Michael and Margaret Lee’s 5 children. Her grandparents were from Ireland, her parents were born in Maine. Her Mother Margaret, died when Kathryn was young and Michael moved the family to Detroit where they shared a house with eldest daughter Helen and her husband Walter Sweet and family. Kay married James Hattam, whom was born in Butte Montana, on June 6, 1942. Jim served in the 110th Mountain division as a ski trooper, and upon his return home from WWII they bought a house on Turner Ave and welcomed daughter Kathy. The Hattams left Gesu Parish in 1958, and lived in Redford Twp where Kathy was schooled at St Robert Bellarmine and Mercy High School, and finally moved to Farmington’s Our Lady of Sorrows Parish where grandchildren Shannon, Kyla and AJ attended grade school. The last 8 years Kay has lived in Fort Lauderdale, FL, Farmington and Petoskey, MI with Kathy and Al, under the tender care and watchful eye of dear friends Marcia Sinclair and Stephen Carfray. She was loved, devoted to her faith and her family, and will be dearly missed. Kay is Preceded in death by husband James Hattam in 1991, Granddaughter Kyla Wisne in 1994, Grandson AJ Wisne in 2005, sisters: Helen Sweet and Florence Cassidy, and brother: Edward Lee. To cherish her loving memory she is Survived by: Daughter: Kathryn Wisne (Alan), Granddaughter : Shannon Wisne Helton (Chad), Sister : Irene Reid, Nieces : Judy Gradowski, Suzanne Krajewski (Clifford), Elizabeth Griffith (Paul) and Maureen Faircloth (Guy), Nephews: Walter Sweet, Richard Sweet and Greg Oates (Lizbeth) and Jack Reid, by her Guardian Angels on earth : Marcia Sinclair and Stephen Carfray
Visitation on Monday, September 13, 2010 : Heeney-Sundquist, 23720 Farmington Road, Farmington, MI , from 2pm until 8pm, rosary at 7pm. Additional viewing at Our Lady of Sorrows, 24040 Raphael Rd., Farmington, MI , 9:30 am on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 followed by Requiem Mass at 10 am. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 25800 W 10 Mile, Southfield , MI. Luncheon following at Plum Hollow Country Club, 221631 Lahser Road, Southfield, MI.
