John Ervin Nye, age 72, of Delray Beach and formerly of Fort Lauderdale, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 in the comfort of his home. At the time of his passing he was in the hearts and minds of those he loved the most.
John is survived by his wife Cindy Thibault-Nye; his sons and daughters-in-law, John IV and Brandi Nye and Josh and Beth Nye, Steven Thibault and Michael Thibault; His grandchildren, Emma, Elena, Elyssa, Ella, Joey, Dylan, Lance, Oliver and Sayla; his sister, Jo-Del Gaeth.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in John's memory be made to the Best Foot Forward Foundation, to benefit children in foster care with their education. Donations may be made online at bestfoot.org/donations/
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020 from 4:00 - 6:00 at the Kraeer-Fairchild Funeral Home, 4061 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale. John's funeral service will commence immediately upon the conclusion of visitation.
A memorial service will be held at a later date and time TBD in North Carolina.
