John MacGregor Mercer passed away December 23rd at home of congestive heart failure and Lymphoma. Born on August 23, 1926 in Brookline Massachusetts, lived in Duxbury Massachusetts and has lived in Fort Lauderdale for the last 47 years. He was a World War II veteran serving in the Philippines. At the conclusion of the war he attended University of Miami.
He is survived by his wife Priscilla of 58 years, his son Scott, his daughter Heather M McFall and two grandchildren, Kaitlin Mercer and Michael Myers McFall III.
In lieu of flowers donations in John's name may be made to the southern Florida chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society 3440 Hollywood Boulevard Suite 150 Hollywood Florida 33021
John's funeral services will be held on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 1:00 at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, 555 North Federal Highway Fort Lauderdale. Burial will take place in South Florida National Cemetery.
