Jeffrey, James Roger (Capt Jim), 62, of Miami, FL, passed away on May 26, 2018. Capt Jim reached the height of his career as an airline pilot with Jetblue Airlines. He worked as an aircraft mechanic for many years, before earning his wings to become a pilot. Like his father, a self-made man, Capt Jim learned the trade of aircraft mechanics.
He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and loved riding his Harley Davisson. Additionally, he loved all water activities, camping, hiking, and his first love…flying. Through his positive demeanor, he provided encouragement to all who knew him…simply put, he was known as the Gentle Giant! He was more than a friend and neighbor…he was a Good, Good Father!
Roger is survived by his wife Sula; daughters, Susan (Greg) and Laura; son, Andrew; two grandsons, Luke and Ethan; brother, Steve; sister, Pamela Sirota. Roger is preceded in death by his first wife Kathleen, mother Dorthy, and father Charles Jeffrey.
He will truly be missed.
