I will always remember the sweet calming cadence of her voice.  Jackie, Donna, Richard, Carol and Maria:  Your mommy was a very special and beautiful lady . Her kindness and love touched so many that everyone felt that THEY were her favourite person on earth.  We thank God for blessing us with one of his special angels for a while.   Though you will forever miss her presence on earth, 
I want you to take solace in knowing that her beauty and benevolence has already taken hold in her posterity.  Her grand and great grands will forever enjoy hearing stories about her and admiring her pure beauty in many wonderful photographs.

In our youth, the families in our neighbourhood were very close knit.  The Ashmans were integral members of the group and the various family members within the larger group have remained, like brothers and sisters so many years afterwards. Mrs. Ashman was very special to us.

On behalf of Colin, Maxine and Courtney Hutchinson, the Lee-Hings, Shaws, Nembhards, Andersons, Chongs, Romans and all the other neighborhood friends of the Ashman family, we extend our sincerest condolences to Richard, Jackie, Donna and the rest of their family. This picture was taken in 2013. It’s really the only picture I have with my dad, Auntie Jean and my kids and I altogether. It’s easy to let distance dictate staying in touch with family. Not my Auntie Jean. Nothing stood in the way of us staying connected. We spoke often and since each of my kids were born, she never missed one birthday, always sending them a little pocket change. I will miss you so much Auntie Jean. Even in my sadness I am happy because now you’re reunited with every one who had gone before you. Rest well my beautiful Auntie Jean. I love you.

Our Dear 'Aunt Jean' as she was fondly known to us.  A lady of grace, beauty and quiet confidence, with a radiant smile and whose presence was a joy.   She touched many people with lasting friendships forged from genuine caring and mutual respect.  

Living a life worthy of praise and honour, God-fearing and ardent in her belief, she nurtured her faith with the understanding that God alone is our true Rock of Salvation.
