Helen Jane Evans

Helen Jane Evans, 100 of Fort Lauderdale, Florida entered into rest on Sunday, August 7, 2016. She was born in Kankakee, Illinois on November 16, 1915. Jane graduated from Kankakee High School. She married O. Ray "Brick" Evans on November 20, 1941. Jane worked as secretarial administration for Martin Marietta - Exxon Mobile.

She was a member of Cooper City Sr. Civic Association, Cooper City Classy Klowns and had a passion for bridge and card games, baking and square dancing. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Jane (Charles) Lear and Kathleen Ann (Marc) Bates; grandchildren, Jaime (Jonathan) Koren, Aaron ( Lydia) Fried, Kelsey (Grant) Zellmer, and Michelle (Todd) Zummallen; great- grandchildren, Bryce and Bree Fried, Taylor Koren, Jayden Weil, Noel Zellmer and Hilary Plumley; cherished nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephew.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband, O.Ray Evans; and her siblings. Jane will truly be missed. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm with a funeral service to directly follow at 2:30 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home South in Davie, Florida.
