Passed away on the same day of her beloved father's birthday.          April 23rd.  
May they see each other again in Heaven.

Today we layed mom to rest next to her parents in Pittsburg, PA at The Good Shepard Cemetery...near were she grew up.

The service was private and peaceful...we all took our moment to speak to her.

She will be forever in our hearts and on our minds.   We will miss her.   We love you mom!

My name is Andrew Fernandez,  I am one of the neighborhood kids who grew up with the Kennedy’s. I greatly appreciate them allowing me to be part of their family and although I may not be in their lives I truly love them all and appreciate them taking me under their wing and helping me come out of my shell. I lived quite the sheltered life prior to meeting them. Thank you Mom for treating me like one of your own and will forever love you . Your son from another mother :)  Drew 

Gerry will be missed greatly. She always lit up the room so nicely & was such a friendly soul. She always made everyone feel so welcome in her home. I know that she’s right next to my Grandpa up heaven smiling down at all of us. She will forever be remembered. A great memory I have with her are the many beautiful times at the Lake we went to in the summertime. All the grandkids and kids getting together, she loved those moments. All the Christmases, holidays, and birthdays celebrated in her and my Grandpa’s home in Miami. My mom, Linda, will never forget these moments as well. My mom is on the phone with me now talking about the many poker nights and how much fun those nights were. I can sit here all day writing memory after memory but I’m almost out of allowed characters. To the Kennedy & Aycock families: Sara, Linda, and Brian send our condolences. We think about her often. May she RIP. Miss you you all a whole lot, and we hope you all are doing well. The memories, oh the memories will last a lifetime.

I worked with Gerry for 12 years at VA Miami Hospital. After I left, our family would spend Christmas at Gerry's house every year until 2019. We send our deepest condolences to Her family.
