After completing his Secondary school at C.M.S High School, he went to S.B. College, Mar Ivanious College, and Catholicate College to further his studies, and work with the International Student Movement. In 1967, he was accepted into Cedorville University in Ohio, where he studied Education and the Bible for two years. After finishing at Cedorville, he attended the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and received his Masters in Divinity.
In 1971, he went to India and married his wife of 48 years Marykutty, on October 30th. She is the daughter of the late Dr. T. V. Cherian and the late Mrs. Mariamma Cherian. He was blessed with three children, Diana, Toji, and Shaam. Diana married Dr. Ajay Sood and had his first two grandchildren, Roshan and Anjali. Toji married Betsy and had his next 3 grandchildren, Jordan, Chase, and Riley.
Although he studied divinity, he was called to provide for his community in another way. He pursued a career in the medical field and studied at Barry College. Over the course of his career he received his CCT, CRT, and RCVT certificates and worked at different hospitals.
In 2011, he suffered a major heart attack, however, the good Lord extended his life. In 2015, he had another heart attack. God was gracious and gave him another chance. Despite his health ailments, the good Lord inspired him to write books, and music about his love. God gave him the wisdom, understanding, and insight to write.
He is survived by his wife Marykutty, his Daughter Diana and Family (Ajay, Roshan and Anjali), his son Toji and Family (Betsy, Jordan, Chase, and Riley), his son Shaam, his brother Jacob and Family, his brother Mathew and Family, his sister Sherly and Family, as well as many Nieces and Nephews and their respective families.
