Francesco Lapi

It is with heartfelt sadness that the Lapi family announces the passing of their dear Francesco on September 9, 2023 in Ft Lauderdale ,FL. Francesco was born in Pescara, Italy on November 11, 1935. He moved to Ft. Lauderdale in 1988 when he opened Cafe Italia. Creating a small corner of Italy in his restaurant was his passion. He greatly loved nature and the outdoors. He was an avid huntsman and in his younger years boating and waterskiing filled his summers. His warm and open personality allowed him to befriend all those he encountered. He will be immensely missed. Francesco is survived by his wife of 50 years, Valerie, his son Mario, his daughter Valentina, his grandson Matteus, sister Donatella Lapi, brother Sergio Lapi, sister in law Veronica Mozzano and brother in law Orlando Mozzano. He is preceded in death by his younger brother Adriano Lapi.

Francesco you will always be in the hearts of your family and friends. Forever loved Forever missed.

Funeral mass to be held on Saturday, September 23 at 11am at St. Pius X Catholic Church
