I met Don in 1981 when he was working at a BMW dealer in Denville, NJ. Worked with him a lot over the years until I retired from BMWNA. We would always meet up when I was visiting centers or class's in South Florida to have dinner at one of his favorite places the Southport Raw Bar. He was a great friend who loved the car business, his family,friends and of course sailing. He is missed by many that knew him - R.I.P my friend

I met donnie when we were both seventeen. it was at 84 east third street, in NYC, in 1968. He had long hair, big brown eyes and the longest legs ever. He drove a Norton 750, and  when  we went out to NJ he would weave in and out of trffic on the Hudson Pkwy. I loved him.

We met in 1968 on St. Marks and 2nd ave. In NYC. I will always treasure the times I spent with him and his family on Snake Den rd. In Camp and in the quonset hut.

I met Don in 1986 at BMW of Fairfax,VA. Don launched my career by offering not only great advice but Don cared about people. Don was BMW for us back in the day. He was one of a kind and will be truly missed.

We have known Don for 10 years now since we moved to Florida.  He really enjoyed our international flavor events at a Hungarian restaurant and at West Indian a fundraiser event.  We will remember him fondly.

My condolences to you and your family.  I met Don at a BMW dealership in 1986.  I was shy and tried to do the best I could.  He was was a positive mentor and become a BMW friend.  We would catch up at the NAC and he would tell me about his sailing and wonderful family.  I send you and his friends many prayers and peace. He will be missed.

Don was a remarkable man.  He knew how to be a true friend and always tried to find the positive in all things.  He was one of the most dedicated and loyal person I know.  He will truly be missed at BMW.  My prayers are with his family and may you always cherish your memories with him.  God Bless.

Don always saw the best in every person (esp. his 3 daughters) and every idea. The greatest playmate and cousin, always looking for adventure, ready to try something new. On a sailboat, his smile lit up the sky. Gone way too soon and dearly missed.

Don was a great leader with understanding and compassion to help others.  He knew how to motivate others to succeed. He will be missed.  My prayers are with you.

Don always had a way of making someone feel better about themselves. He cared very much about the people he worked with and was willing to go the distance no matter what the challenge. Don provided inspiration and dedication to all of us that knew him. . He was a good role model for us all,  he will be truly missed.  Rest in peace.

Professional, caring, passionate, intelligent, true gentleman...I can go on and on describing Don.  He was a phonemenal friend and colleague who will truly be missed.  My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Don was a cornerstone of BMW, especially in South Florida. His dedication to his job solved numerous customer issues, and he helped to make BMW what it is today. Never flustered by difficult issues, he always had a great attitude and pride in his work

He was also a great person with a warm personality and a great sense of humor. He will be missed by all those who knew him

Having known Don as a colleague and friend for 30+ years, I'm still at a loss for words. Truly one of the good long-time guys that was always fair, honest, and always with best intentions for our company and our dealers. But most of all, a colleague that was a friend. I'll miss him. I'll miss his calls. May he rest in peace. I pray for his family to have strength to remember Don as the great, fun-loving guys he always was.

My deepest condolences for your loss.  I can only imagine, as I feel a great sense of loss just as a co-worker.  I asked Don for help some years back, real help, and he gave it without reserve or hesitation.  I was not alone in getting support from Don, so many of us did.  He was always insightful, positive, and really, really funny!

Don and I first met in Pequannock Township High School our history was long and varied growing up as we did as children of the 60's. Over the years we have been separated by distance and circumstance but Donnie was never far from my heart and a piece of it has gone with him.. I remember a conversation with him once about Heaven talking about the friends and pets we would meet there again  looking forward to seeing him someday RIP dear friend
