Daughter of Alfred Florio and Anne Sardo Florio, Diane was a native of New York City. She relocated to Florida with her husband Joseph Mazza in 1972. Diane, and Joe loved boating and enjoyed beach life together. She was a dedicated wife and caregiver to her husband of 42 years.
Diane was a devout Roman Catholic and an usher at her parish, St. Pius X. Diane was personified as a joyful person. Her optimism was infectious, and she peppered her positivity on everyone. Friends and family know her by her generosity, willingness to love, and gift of uplifting others. She was happy, silly, full of life, and she loved to dance. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Diane is survived by sisters Linda Blackburn and husband Skip and Carol Mandarino; and five nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Mazza, father Alfred Florio, and mother Anne Sardo Florio.
The viewing will commence August 19, from 7-9 pm at Forrest Lawn Funeral Home. A memorial mass for family and friends will be held at a St. Pius X at 11-12, with internment to follow at the funeral home.
