David was such a fine person as a friend and hair stylist. We always had such fun chatting about everything. I’m crushed to learn of his passing. Rest in peace dear friend.

David was my neighbor across the street, and one of my closest friends throughout Junior High. I am heartbroken at the knowledge of his death. I send so much love to all whom he touched, and all who touched him. I’ll love him forever. 

There are  many wonderful memories that I have with David and I would love to share them all but he was the most amazing beautiful soul I have met and he will be truly missed and loved. 

David and I met in Jr. High when I became good friends with his neighbor and good friend  Eileen Sheridan.  They would pick me up every morning for high school in his maroon Mustang and tease me about being late cuz I had to finish painting my nails to match the shirt my boyfriend Tim (who also gre up in their neighborhood) had given me.  David was such a fun guy and I always loved him!  We did lose touch eventually but I am so very saddened at the news of his passing!! ❤️❤️❤️

David, my co worker, my friend, you could make me laugh like no one else.  

David was more than my hairdresser, he was a friend.  We had such lively conversations when we saw each other every few months.  When my husband and I had our babymoon in Ft. Lauderdale, he gave us great restaurant recs, and we stopped by the shop to see him and Lee.  David had a wonderfully chill and pleasant demeanor every time I saw him.  I’m so sorry to hear of his passing.  It is heartbreaking.  Sending my deepest condolences to Lee and his family. 


To David’s close family & friends: David was a person full of light and laughter. He was my neighbor for many years. He was always quick with a joke and always had a kindness and love about him. I know that those closest to him will miss him tremendously. He will love on in your memories of him. Rest in peace David. 

I was friends with David through JoGayle, and was honored to adopt their dog Zoe.  She brought a lot of love to our family and was a loving and lively link to both David and JoGayle.

To the family of David, I don’t need to tell you what a light he was in this world. He was not just my beloved hairstylist for 14 years but a true friend. I looked forward to seeing him every 5 weeks!  He always made me laugh with his signature sassy attitude, always willing to spill some tea with me! I miss him so terribly and my heart breaks for Lee and the whole family.  I hope you find peace in understanding so many people love him and he made so many people happy. I am so sad about this news.  David was a great listener, friend, and hairdresser.  Every 6 weeks, for almost 30 years, I had the pleasure of sitting in David's chair and sharing stories, recipes (mostly involving chocolate), and laughter.  He was so kind, considerate, and devoted, and I will miss him quite a bit.  May his memory be a blessing.

May his soul rest in peace. I first met David through my former mentor Dr. JoGayle Howard, a world-renowned scientist and conservation biologist. David was her house mate for a very long time. David had a great sense of humor and as others have stated, he was always eager to listen as well as excited to share amazing stories from all his travels.  He was a good man. This world just lost a loving soul. He will be missed. Our condolences to his family and friends.

I joked with David he was my longest non-family male relationship. He listened a lot and shared a lot about his trips and adventures. My thoughts are with his family. He will be missed by many.

We’ve only known David for about four years, but it seemed that we held a much longer and deeper connection. He was a welcoming and warm individual who made you feel at ease in his company. David always shared a laugh, a good story or some hairstyle or decorating tips that were spot-on. He and Lee made a perfect couple, and we looked forward to visiting with them anytime we came to Fort Lauderdale. It’s still a shock that David is no longer with us, and he will be dearly missed around the shop and in our lives. May he rest in God’s eternal peace.

David was a light in this world. His sense of humor, ability to listen and his master level hairdresser skills were unmatched. After an appointment with him, not only did your hair look fabulous, you left with a smile on your face and your cheeks sore from laughter. His stories and advice were as good as the highlights and lowlights! Extending deepest sympathies to his dear partner, Lee, and his extended family. He will be sorely missed. 

My condolences to Lee and all his family. I’ll always remember David for his quick wit . It was a privilege to know him for 33 years.

Dear Friends and Family of David,

I am so sad to hear of David's passing.  Years and years ago, I started out as one of his clients in Georgetown and we became friends.  Each meeting at the salon was so much fun;  catching up on what was going on in our lives.  I moved away from DC as did David but I always asked about him through a mutual friend who continued to keep in touch with him until a few days ago.  
David was a wonderful person.  He will be missed by many.  My condolences to all of his family and friends.  My prayers are with you during this difficult time.

David has been my hairdresser and friend for 40 years, almost since the day I first moved to DC.   I thought we would keep laughing, dishing and sharing stories for years to come.  I can't believe he has left us, so suddenly and so young.  His memory will truly be a blessing.
