I cannot believe it has been nearly a year. I sorely miss you, and am sad any time I go to Ft. Lauderdale that I cannot spend fun times with you...

My husband Dick & I were so sorry to hear about Betty from her niece, Sue Richardson. She was my boss at the City in the 70's & we kept in touch since then as we both loved to travel. I will miss our lunches on Las Olas. She was a part of Ft. Lauderdale history.

Betty was a role model for all.  Kind, caring and eager to share her knowledge with others.  My mother and I both worked with her at the city of Fort Lauderdale and she will be remembered for her calming influence on those she came in contact with.  A true lady.

Dearest Betty, you will be sorely missed, since you were truly unique. Very strong woman, did your own thing until very recently. I was blessed to call you my friend when you shared your home with me for part of the week the last two years of Acupuncture school in Fort Lauderdale. 
I will never forget when you taught me history lessons about your town: this is where the lion farm was".
You are now with Gracie and your friends and loved ones. Again you are strong and do your thing. I loved your sense of humor!
In my thoughts and heart forever more. This place won't be the same without you!

I'll miss my friend Betty.  I've known her all of my life and can't imagine my life without her!  She was so supportive of my mother in her later years, and was always a great cheerleader in my adult life.  I feel very blessed to have shared so much with her as my friend and my neighbor.  Thank You Betty!

My condolences to the family of Betty Thompson. She was a very close friend of my family and to especially my mother. She was very generous lending us her home for the Christmas holidays when there was not enough room. A sweet and loving spirit who will be sorely missed.

Thank you Betty for all the wonderful years you've been a friend to our family. You and my Mother, Dr. Anne Hendricks shared many smiles and miles as you travelled the globe. After my mother passed, You continued to stay close and it was a pleasure to assist you during your last years. My family and I were blessed to know you. We celebrate your legacy.
