Barry Eng
IN THE CARE OF
Barry Eng, age 94, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2020. He was originally from Boston, Massachusetts, resided in New York City, and retired in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
He enlisted in the United States Army and served his country during World War II and served in the army reserves. He rose to the rank of colonel.
Barry also retired as a New York City police officer with the 5th precinct. He was proud to be one of the founding members of the NYPD Asian Jade Society that was established in 1980.
With his military and law enforcement background, Barry was stern on the exterior. However, on the inside, Barry was a warm and kind soul. His family will miss him immensely.
Barry will be cremated and his ashes will be interred at a later date at the Arlington National Cemetery. Please contact the family for additional information: Rita Eng (niece) at rita.eng.esq@gmail.com.
