Barbara Louise Durren

Barbara Louise Durren (54) of Ft. Lauderdale passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2015. She grew up in Virginia Beach, VA and graduated from Bayside High School. As an Army wife she traveled and lived in many states. Barbara was married to Steve for over 30 years. They were transferred to Ft. Lauderdale in 1998 and they remained in the area after her husband’s retirement from the Army in 2000. Barbara was an avid Washington Redskins fan and loved all sports. She thoroughly enjoyed her daily crossword puzzles (as many as 3 per day). Barbara loved to travel, having been to Europe on several occasions and to Central America. She had traveled extensively throughout the United States. She loved her adventures such as hiking and whitewater rafting. She is survived by her husband Stephen Durren of Ft. Lauderdale, her father Harry Brown of Tennessee, sisters Deborah, Rebecca and Karen of Virginia Beach, her cousin Tina of Kansas and numerous nephews and nieces.
