Barbara Ann Blount was a proud Texas native but resided in Hollywood, Florida from the early 1960's until 2017 when she moved to West Palm Beach. In her early years she worked as an LPN in North Miami and then worked as a Pharmacy Technician until her retirement at the age of 72.
Her love of the outdoors and animals was steadfast and Penny, her "mini pincher" was the final love of her life. Her love of animals was only second to her love for her grandchildren, Lauren and Rachel.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband Frank "Red" Blount, her father, Gordon Gray and her mother Alyne Gray. Barbara is survived by her daughter Sherri Perez and her husband Saul Perez; her grandchildren Lauren and Rachel Perez; her sister Carla Elmore and her brother-in-law Charles Elmore; her niece, Shanna Elmore and her nephew, Ryan Elmore.
Barbara Blount will be celebrated on October 26, 2019 at Forest Lawn South Funeral Home in Davie, Florida where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Frank Lester. The family will welcome visitors from 11:00 am -1:00 pm and a service will be held at 1:00 pm. Burial service will be from 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm followed by a reception.
Barbara will be dearly missed.
