Antonio Lemos

Antonio (Tony) Lemos passed away December 15th surrounded by his loving family. Born in Rhode Island in 1923 he served in the Army Air Corp in World War 2. He returned home to marry his childhood sweetheart, Albertina (Tina) who predeceased him. In 1965, he moved his family to Fort Lauderdale, later establishing Tony Lemos Realty in 1969. He retired but stayed semi involved in the family business until his death. He is survived by his daughters Toni McCormick (John) and Gloria Wetherington, granddaughters, Rachel Dukes (Faron), and Meghan McCormick, grandson Randy DeMarco, great granddaughter Amanda Dukes and his much beloved nieces and nephews. To all who knew him, his family was most important. He leaves behind a legacy of love, integrity, generosity and a lifetime of memories of the kind, honest, down to earth and loving man he was.

Family will receive visitors Tuesday, December 19th at Kraeer Funeral Home located at 4061 N Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, from 6 pm-8 pm. A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, December 20th at 10:30 am, at Saint John the Baptist Church located at 4595 Bayview Dr, Fort Lauderdale, FL. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to Sunrise Community Foundation 9040 Sunset Drive, Miami, FL 33173 serving individuals with developmental disabilities, a cause which was near to him.
