Anne was born in Bombardopolis, Haiti to Mr. and Mrs. St. Pierre Blaise. As a young lady, Anne enjoyed being an avid member of the church choir. She met the love of her life, Andrieux Richardson, at the age of 22. After a courtship lasting 9 years, the couple married and Anne subsequently relocated to Port-au-Prince, to join her husband and work alongside him building a fledgling business. After toiling tirelessly together, they grew the business into a very successful enterprise.
As a devoted mother, Anne raised her children to appreciate the inherent values of hard work, practice self-respect and respect for God, and humility. Anne loved going to church, spending time with her family and travelling. After over 40 years of being entrepreneurs, Anne and her husband decided to retire in order to spend more time in their vacation home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and be closer to their children who had previously settled in the United States. Unfortunately, her husband succumbed to heart failure a short four months into their retirement.
After her husband’s demise, Anne moved in with her daughter Emma in Pembroke Pines, Florida where she doted over her grandchildren Jessica Anne and Jason. Five years ago, the family relocated to the city of Miramar. Anne was the matriarch of the family, a confidante to many, a devout church member, and was revered by the entire family and her numerous friends.
A visitation will be held for Anne at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Davie, Florida on July 31, 2020 beginning at 5PM.
A funeral service to celebrate Anne’s life will be officiated by Father Jean Jadotte at St Bartholomew Church in Miramar, Florida on August 1, 2020 at 10:00AM.
In lieu of flowers, the Richardson family would prefer for donations to be made to the American Heart Association by making your gift as a tribute to Anne Richardson.
