On Thursday, August 27th, 2020, the Lord called home one of His angels. Ann-Marie Elizabeth Simpson was introduced to this world on January 27, 1961, in the parish of St. Andrew, Jamaica, to Viviene and Hubert (Keith) Simpson. She attended St. Joseph’s Primary School and Jamaica Commercial Institute where she met her late husband, Gilroy Manning. They were later married on July 12th, 1986 in Kingston, Jamaica.
The Simpson Family migrated to the United States in October 1980. Ann-Marie worked as a bookkeeper and shipping Clerk at various companies and ended her professional career with ABC Shipping Co. when they closed their business.
Ann-Marie was a dedicated family member, until she went to eternal rest. She focused her energies on her parents to ensure continuity of care. She was a remarkable “tower of strength” for her family, always reaching out to ensure they were okay and served as the historian for the Simpson family. She served as the principal communicator, planned family get-togethers and reunions to keep the family tree connected. In short, Ann-Marie was the glue that gelled the family together.
Ann-Marie (affectionately called Annie) was Independent, Courageous, Generous, Committed, and Straightforward. She gave herself, time, and energy unconditionally and provided emotional support to family, friends, co-workers, neighbors and even strangers who later became her friend. Her generous spirit has left an indelible mark on our hearts and will be with us forever.
This woman of God fought the good fight, she finished the race, she kept the faith, now, there is in store for her the crown of righteousness, which the righteous Judge, will award her on that day, and not only to her but also to all who have longed for His appearing (2nd Timothy 4:7-8).
Ann-Marie went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 27, 2020.
She is predeceased by her husband (Gilroy) and nephew (Christopher) and leaves to mourn her loving Parents Viviene and Keith; siblings Courtney, Sonia, Janel, and Gary; uncles, aunts, countless cousins, and friends.
We have been blessed to have had you as a part of our lives. May her soul rest in peace!
